Hope Valley Fringe » Fringe

It's tonight, PopUp Fringe 2, exciting new talent and artwork plus a flavour of the upcoming festive season. Calendars, posters, limited edition prints and cards will be available for sale from Fern Prints, Peak District Design, Kind Regards and a special treat for steam railway enthusiasts, a newly published book on the West Highland railway. All this washed down with wines from Renishaw Hall vineyard, keen to demonstrate the excellence of Northern English wines.

Original artwork from leading local artists including Anthony Marshall, Phil Sproson, Angus Stokes, Lizzie Shuttleworth, John Seddon and Si Homfray will be on show and we are planning to run a live auction at 8PM; see the running order at the Fringe Gallery; and Peter Miles will be conducting the event tonight. Not only is this a great chance to meet and chat to the artists and meet up with new friends, we urge you to engage and invest in some stunning art. We will be also holding a silent auction for pieces not in the "live" auction so you have plenty of time to put your bids in! Happy browsing..

The intention is to hold regular PopUp Fringe activities to represent the diverse nature of the businesses in the Peak District and environs and to celebrate what a great place it is to visit and enjoy.  Each PopUp Fringe will be actively supported by the 7th Wave blogging platform, giving an online voice to all the participants with the chance to meet and greet in person at each unique venue.

A donation from the event is going to the Cardiac Risk in the Young — a really worthy cause with a particular relevance to the Hope Valley: monies raised during the event will ensure that screenings of our young local people will continue.
